Wanlov elaborates a music that is novel and full of spirit. Wanlov's mother was Romanian, his father was Ghanean. Expressing the improbable encounter between his two countries of origin, his music seamlessly blends hip-life (a Ghanean sound that mixes highlife, rap and dance-hall) and Gypsy melodies : as if African percussions and Transylvanian violins had always belonged together.
A modern day vagabond, he acts as the kindly go-between for Africa and the Gypsy world, opening up new sound paths and using humour and audacity. Sharp hip hop is his weapon...He must be the most sensational musical event of the Ghanean New Wave...
