Elina Duni is a passionate Swiss-Albanian singer who takes over old songs from the Albanian folklore and makes them her own, taking this once traditional Balkan music to a new level : with jazz and improvisation at its core.
She is an innovator. Someone who is driven by the momentum of freedom to reclaim a repertoire that was once under the control of the Communist regime and used for propaganda. She sings of exile and love in a moving vocal jazz timbre. Her subtle poetry resonates like the voices of those who are forgotten.
