L’Adami gère les droits pour le secteur musical des artistes-interprètes principaux. Elle favorise le renouvellement des talents et consolide l’emploi artistique au moyen de ses aides à la création. Remis lors de Babel Med Music, le prix Adami récompense le talent d’un artiste des musiques du monde.
Adami’s purpose is to manage the legal rights of the main performing artists in the music industry. It offers financial support to professionals from the artistic world, making it easier for new artists to get started and for the established ones to carry on working. The Adami prize is awarded during the Babel Med Music festival to a specially selected World Music artist.

De tous temps les musiques se sont nourries de voyages, de rencontres et de rêves. Mondomix, le premier media français sur les Musiques et Cultures dans le Monde, a décidé de remettre un prix à un artiste de la sélection Babel Med Music qui mixe le monde de façon originale et sincère. Durant les douze prochains mois, Mondomix s’engage à lui offrir un espace exceptionnel à l’intérieur de ses magazines et de son site internet.
Throughout history, music has been fed by travels to foreign parts, encounters and dreams. With their help, music has grown and developed. Mondomix is the first French media for World music and cultures. Over the next twelve months, Mondomix is giving Babel Med Music maximum extra coverage in its magazine as well as on its internet site.

BABEL MED MUSIC, UN FESTIVAL ÉCO-RESPONSABLE…
Babel Med Music s’inscrit dans des démarches de développement durable et d’engagement-éco responsable qui ont un impact économique, humain et social sur la manifestation et son organisation. Il entraîne une réflexion sur les habitudes de travail au moment de l’évènement mais aussi tout au long de l’année.
Les différentes actions portent à la fois sur les déplacements (transports en commun, parking à vélo, site de covoiturage), la communication (dématérialisation d’une partie des supports de communication, impression sur papier recyclé avec des encres végétales), la restauration (verres réutilisables, tri sélectif, cartons d’emballage recyclés), ainsi que sur la mutualisation de matériel ou l’économie d’énergie.
BABEL MED SOLIDAIRE
Babel Med Music est partenaire depuis plusieurs années avec l’association Culture du Coeur. L’association Cultures du Coeur 13 a pour objectif de lutter contre l’exclusion par le développement de l’accès à la culture pour toutes les personnes (familles, enfants, adultes isolés) en situation de grande précarité. Dans ce cadre, Babel Med Music offre plus de 150 places. Babel Med Music ouvre également ses portes à plusieurs structures d’insertion. Les jeunes sont employés en stage, à la préparation des stands, à l’accueil et à la sécurité.
Par ailleurs, Babel Med Music 2014 accueille au Dock des Suds un stand d’Amnesty International ainsi qu’une exposition-installation « tente dispensaire » des Médecins sans Frontières pour une sensibilisation des publics sur l’action de ces ONG sur le terrain qu’ils occupent tout au long de l’année.
BABEL MED MUSIC : AN ECO-RESPONSIBLE FESTIVAL
Babel Med Music is committed to a program of sustainable growth and eco responsibility that has an impact on the economic, human and social aspect of the event and of the organisation as a whole. As a result of this commitment, a host of questions about work ethics are discussed and debated both during the festival and throughout the rest of the year.
Various actions are being undertaken regarding the following : transport – public transport, bicycle parking, shared driving pick-up spots; communication – for instance in the use of paperless communication whenever possible and in the use of recycled paper and vegetable inks; catering – reusable cups, recycling, recycled packaging; as well as the pooling of equipment and their energy saving policy.
BABEL MED WITH A SENSE OF SOLIDARITY
Babel Med Music has been a partner of the organisation called ‘Culture du Coeur’ for many years. ‘Culture du Coeur 13’ is an organisation whose aim is to fight against exclusion by encouraging easy access to culture for people from all horizons especially the under-priviledged.
As a result of this policy, Babel Med Music puts aside 150 free tickets.
They also welcome with open arms, organisations who work with young people in order to help with their integration in Society. These young people are being given work experience : preparing the stands, working on the desk and helping with security.
Babel Med Music 2014 will also be welcoming Amnesty International which will be taking up a stand in the Dock des Suds venue during the event and Doctors without Borders which will be setting up a medical dispensary under canvas to raise public awareness and give a clearer vision of NGO's everyday work in the field the world over.
SHOWCASE FNAC
Famous Italian songwriter Gianmaria Testa will be performing for the FNAC at the 'Centre Bourse' in Marseilles on Thursday 20 th MARCH at 5pm.
The multitalented word craftsman will be delivering a unique performance, giving us the opportunity to accompany him on a journey around Italy without having to leave Marseilles. His melodies have such a unique and universal poetic style that they will remain printed in your minds forever...

LES LYCÉENS ET APPRENTIS DE

PARTICIPENT À BABEL MED MUSIC 2014
Evénement unique en France, Babel Med Music est un festival musical de trois jours où artistes et professionnels venus des quatre coins du monde nous font partager et découvrir leur musique et traditions. Dans ce cadre, la Région Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur - partenaire principal de Babel Med - en collaboration avec les Rectorats d’Aix-Marseille et de Nice et l’association Latinissimo, organise les 20 et 21 mars 2013 de 9h à 11h45, des rencontres de sensibilisation sur le monde du spectacle en direction des lycéens et des apprentis. Ces rencontres leur permettront d’appréhender les différentes étapes de la création et de la production musicale, d’assister à un concert privé et de débattre avec des artistes.
Au programme de ces matinées…
9h-9h50 : accueil petit déjeuner au stand de la Région Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur avec la collaboration des élèves de CAP Service et de CAP Boulangerie du lycée Hôtelier de Bonneveine de Marseille.
10h-10h10 : présentation du forum (le Salon, les professionnels, les artistes, les objectifs du forum...) par l’association Latinissimo.
10h10-10h20 : présentation des métiers de la musique par l’Arcade.
10h20-10h30 : présentation du dispositif « Trop puissant » par la Régie culturelle sur les risques auditifs liés à l’écoute et à la pratique des musiques amplifiées.
10h30-11h45 : concert-débat de TEMENIK ELECTRIC (arabian-rock), groupe marseillais mêlant rock, électro et rythmes gnawas, plébiscité à l’international après la sortie de son CD «Ouesh Hada », élu album Top of the World par le magazine anglais Songlines.
Près de 500 lycéens et apprentis, venus de 20 établissements de la région participeront à ces deux matinées. Sont concernés cette année par le dispositif : le lycée professionnel Denis Diderot, le lycée professionnel Charlotte Grawitz, le lycée professionnel Jacques Raynaud, le lycée professionnel La Cadenelle, le lycée professionnel Blaise Pascal, le lycée professionnel Frédéric Mistral, le lycée professionnel des Calanques, le lycée professionnel Saint Louis, le lycée professionnel La Viste, le lycée professionnel Edmond Rostand et le lycée professionnel Colbert à Marseille, le lycée professionnel Célony et le lycée général Sainte Marie à Aix-en-Provence, le lycée général Felix Esclangon à Manosque, le lycée professionnel Caucadis à Vitrolles, le lycée professionnel Aix-Valabre à Gardanne, le lycée général Bonaparte à Toulon, le lycée général Philippe de Girard et le lycée professionnel Maria Casarès à Avignon et le lycée général Arthur Rimbaud à Istres.
Outre la construction, la réhabilitation et l’équipement des lycées et CFA de son territoire, la Région Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur met en place plusieurs dispositifs (Lycéens au Festival d’Avignon, Lycéens et apprentis au cinéma, etc.) afin d’aider les jeunes à choisir un parcours professionnel et leur favoriser un accès privilégié à la culture et à la découverte artistique.

THE PUPILS AND APPRENTICES FROM
PROVENCE-ALPES-CÔTE D’AZUR
AT BABEL MED MUSIC
Babel Med Music is a three day music festival where artists and professionals come from all over the world to share their music and traditions with the public: a unique event in France. The Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur regional council – the main sponsor for Babel Med - has organised two days of events in collaboration with Latinissimo in order to introduce the world of entertainment to pupils and apprentices. These will take place on the 20th and 21st March 2014 from 9am until 11.45am. The young people will follow each step of the creative process and of the music production and will attend a private concert, followed by debates with the performing artists.
The timetable for the two dates is:
9.00-9.50am: breakfast will be provided, at the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur Council regional stand, courtesy of the pupils from the Bonneveine catering school.
10.00-10.10am: Latinissimo will introduce the forum – what it is about, the professionals of the music world, the artists, the aims of the forum...
10.10-10.20am: ARCADE will introduce the careers of the music world.
10.20am-10.30am : the Arts and Culture Department will hold a presentation around the subject of hearing damage, during which the prevention device named «Trop puissant» will be demonstrated.
10.30am-11.45am: TEMENIK ELECTRIC, the arabian-rock band from Marseilles will give a concert followed by a debate. Their music blends rock, electro and gnawas rhythms. Following the release of their CD “Ouesh Hada”, they were publically hailed everywhere around the world and went on to win the English magazine Songlines' 'Top of the World' title.
Around 500 pupils and apprentices from 20 different establishments around Marseilles will take part in the two half-day event. The schools that will be taking part this year are: the vocational training schools Denis Diderot, Charlotte Grawitz, Jacques Raynaud, La Cadenelle, Blaise Pascal, Frédéric Mistral, les Calanques, Saint Louis, La Viste, Edmond Rostand and Colbert in Marseilles. Will also take part: the vocational training school of Célony, the Sainte Marie secondary school in Aix-en-Provence, the Felix Esclangon secondary school in Manosque, vocational training school Caucadis in Vitrolles and vocational training school Aix-Valabre in Gardanne, the Bonaparte secondary school in Toulon, Général Philippe de Girard secondary school and Maria Casarès vocational training school in Avignon and the Arthur Rimbaud secondary school in Istres.
As well as financial contributions towards the construction, rehabilitation and facilities for schools and CFAs* in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region, the Regional Council is putting in place several support structures to help young people decide on a career path and to help them access cultural and artistic activities. For instance at the Avignon Festival and in the Film industry.
*CFA = a professional school where pupils receive a small salary equivalent to the minimum wage and where the training given is specific to the industry they will work in when qualified. Strong links between the school and the professional world.
