CNM : what are the needs and expectations of world music ?
La mise en place du Centre National de la Musique mobilise l’ensemble de la filière The impact of the creation of the National Music Centre reaches far and wide. Since the report was published in Autumn 2011, work groups made of union groups and relevant organisations have been put together. Through regular meetings and discussions around different issues such as funding,, the Centre’s needs as well as the economic reliability of its funding sources, the project is constantly being refined. It is constantly evolving.
The first part of the round table discussion will focus on the foretaste of the CNM. Current issues will be summed up and work group participants will expose their point of view.
The second half of the round table will give a more focused approach on the needs of the professionals from the music industry. What specific needs do they have ? What can they expect from a centralised organisation such as CNM ? Can they rely on the creation of the « francophone quotas » that have been mentioned in the report ?in the World ? In France ? Or even in the Oc region itself ? |
